The rich history of the cemetery was a well keep secret until this book was written. Read the book and take a ride through cemetery see all the beautiful head stone.

It's hard to imagine how much my brothers and sister got out of the opportunity to put remembrances of our parents and brother into this book. We got together and just Sharing the different memories each of us had was so enjoyable by itself. The chance to then consolidate those memories into our write up and see them in print in such a great book as this was thrilling for all of us.

Those of us who grew up in Pueblo from the early 1940' are better people because of this diversity. It is a book to read and re-read. Through “The Hearts & Souls of Roselawn” we meet those buried in Roselawn who were friends, relatives, and figures of history described by the people who knew them best. It is a book to own, and then pass on to the younger generation

I was born in 1941 in the old St. Mary’s Hospital, attended Columbian Grade School, Keating Jr. High, Central High School, and Pueblo Junior College. The names Corwin, Orman, Thatcher, McClelland, McCarthy, and so many others in this book all sound like home to me. Not to mention places like La Tronica’s, Passkey’s, Mauro Farms, and the Butkovich radio show which all were known to my family, as well as places like the Lincoln Home which unfortunately were not. This beautiful book is my go-to book for the history of Pueblo. The heart-felt and beautifully detailed biographies record for all time the diverse, vibrant city of Pueblo. It reminds me how fortunate I was to have grown up here. The pictures alone are priceless. Speaking as a Pueblo native whose family is interred in this beautiful, historic cemetery, thank you a hundred times over for The Hearts and Souls of Roselawn. What a treasure it is! The only thing better is a morning stroll through the grounds.
