The Hearts and Souls of Roselawn

Roselawn’s rich and colorful history is a story about pueblo and it is written by the generations of families who are buried here: governors, senators, congressman, business magnates, bishops and clergy, sports luminaries, farms and factory workers and countless immigrants from Italy, Russia, Greece, Mexico, Ireland, Africa, Slovenia, Serbia and a host of other countries.

Thousands of veterans from every war from the Civil War to present-day Middle East conflicts are buried here. A Medal of Honor recipient and numerous soldiers who served in the Civil War have been laid to rest at Roselawn.

Roselawn ranks as one of the largest and oldest cemeteries in Colorado and, as far back as any of us can remember, Roselawn Cemetery has been one of Pueblo’s crown jewels standing as a testament to Pueblo’s rich history and diverse culture.
