Memorial-Day at Roselawn CemeteryOur Memorial Day Celebration is an annual commemoration honoring our veterans and clergy. The ceremony opens with an outdoor mass held in the Bishop’s Section followed by the laying of patriotic wreaths in the Veterans’ Section representing each branch of service and honoring the Veterans who served our country. Roselawn Cemetery is the final resting place of three bishops, 150 priests and nuns. The ceremony concludes caravan style with a blessing of their individual graves. The Knights of Columbus sponsor, organize and participate as escorts. Free and open to the public.

Memorial Day 2021 is the day Roselawn will unveil additional Story Boards. The Story Boards create a fascinating and interesting walking tour of not only local history but world history. The project was launched Memorial Day 2020 with the unveiling of Story Boards commemorating the lives of; Aunt Eliza Boone, Mary Babnik Brown, James Hugh O’Neill, Warren C. Dockum and The Wagon Train Nuns. Proudly Roselawn adds; Dr. Pembroke Thombs, Ray Kogovsek, The Perry Keen Family, The Frank Cirullo Family and The Thomas DeNiro Family.
